We believe in safer spaces, stronger communities, and work that truly matters.
Nonprofit Security Advisors didn’t start as a business idea—it started with a moment.
I was volunteering at my church, teaching a class, when I noticed a team installing access control panels. After asking a few questions, I learned the church had received a Nonprofit Security Grant—funding nearly $150,000 in security improvements.
I hadn’t heard of the program before, and it stuck with me.
Over the next several months, I went all in. I spoke with churches that had received funding, connected with grant writers and state agencies, and spent hours reading through federal guidelines and program requirements.
What I found was both surprising and urgent.
Funding had grown from around $60 million nationwide to nearly $300 million—and at the same time, security threats against religious organizations were rising. Churches and schools were being forced to think differently about safety, but many didn’t know where to start—or how to access the funding available to them.
After 17 years of working with nonprofit organizations through Lynde Consulting, I recognized an opportunity to help.
We built a team, developed a process, and got to work. Within our first year, we were serving clients in over 20 states—helping organizations secure funding and implement real security improvements.
But more than anything, this work is personal.
I’ve always had a heart for the church. I helped plant a church over 20 years ago that’s still thriving today, and I’ve stayed closely involved ever since. I’m also one class away from completing my Master of Theology, and much of my life has been centered around investing in people and communities.
Nonprofit Security Advisors is simply an extension of that.
We’re here to serve organizations doing important work—and to help them protect what matters most.
