Good questions.
Clear answers.
What does ‘same church budget’ mean?
The opportunity is to use an awarded grant for approved security improvements, helping preserve the funds your church uses for ministry. It does not mean every cost is covered or that funding is guaranteed. NPSA’s consulting fees are separate. Reimbursement timing and upfront project costs also need planning. We’ll talk through those questions before you decide whether to engage us.
Could our church qualify?
NSGP supports eligible nonprofits at high risk of terrorist or other extremist attacks. Churches may qualify when they meet the applicable requirements and demonstrate their risk. Church status alone does not guarantee eligibility or an award. On the call, we can discuss your location, facilities, and situation.
How much funding is available?
The FY 2026 rules allowed requests of up to $200,000 per eligible physical site, subject to program limits. Awards are competitive. The amount available and requirements for a future cycle must be checked against that cycle’s official notice. We’ll help you understand the rules relevant to your church.
Is the meeting really free?
Yes. The initial 30-minute consultation is free, with no obligation to hire NPSA. Bring your questions and a general idea of your security concerns. We’ll discuss any paid service scope and fees separately before you decide.
What does NPSA actually help with?
We coordinate security assessments, help shape project scope and obtain vendor pricing, handle registrations, write the risk narrative and application, and help with submission. We also offer post-award compliance consulting. Your church remains involved in supplying information and making decisions.
When should we start?
You can begin identifying security needs and gathering documents before an application window opens. Your State Administrative Agency sets the nonprofit submission process and deadline. Confirm the current cycle’s rules and forms with that agency. We do not assume that an application window is open today.
Can we apply ourselves?
Yes. Hiring NPSA is optional. You can prepare and submit your own application through your state’s process. The free meeting can help you decide whether our support would be useful for your team.
